NEI Electric is an established electrical contractor with four offices in the Twin Cities and Western Wisconsin.  NEI Electric provides commercial and industrial businesses with excellent customer service resulting in long term relationships. Our employees are well trained, conscientious, community minded people and our Saint Paul Office is in need of a quality individual to add to our staff.
Our Opportunity
The primary functions of this role includes, but is not limited to providing leadership to the accounting group along with being directly responsible for performing accounting tasks and completing the following:
  • Financial statement preparation
  • Quarterly consolidating financial statements
  • Management of cash accounts
  • Work with CPA firm on year-end review
  • Prepare reporting as needed for bank, bonding company, unions and other agencies as needed
  • Direct and coordinate the accounting operations of the company
  • Provide administrative and technical supervision to accounting staff
  • Oversee payroll and payroll tax reporting for the company in compliance with laws and regulations
  • Setup project budgets and monitor results against budgets, reconciliations of differences
  • Accounts receivable, payroll and accounts payable duties as needed
  • Review contracts
  • Prepare purchase orders and subcontracts
  • Set up and review job cost reports 
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum (4) year accounting degree
  • 5-7 years of progressive construction accounting experience
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of corporate accounting and financial management
  • Thorough knowledge of Federal, State and local requirements regarding payroll, pension, profit sharing and the like
  • Experience with Maxwell Accounting software preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
